Michelle Boisvert, Ph.D., CCC-SLP
Michelle Boisvert, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, earned her doctorate in Communication Disorders from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2011. Her doctoral research focused on the integrative use of technology in clinical practice, specifically examining online speech and language therapy (telepractice) for students diagnosed with autism. Following graduation, she worked extensively with school-aged students, clinicians, teams, and caregivers.
Michelle is co-author of Artificial Intelligence, Extended Reality, and Automation in Speech-Language Pathology (Plural Publishing) and is a frequent national and international speaker on strategic technology adoption in clinical and educational settings. Her trainings focus on the ethical use of AI and automation, as well as telepractice. She is the former editor of Perspectives on Telepractice, a publication of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and serves as a peer reviewer for several journals. She has authored numerous articles and book chapters and continues to advance her research on using technology to support workload management.
